Your First Session

New to martial arts? Here's what to expect and what to bring for your first class.

What to wear

Train in comfortable sports clothing, such as a t-shirt and tracksuit bottoms. Shoes are not worn in the dojo, so sessions are normally barefoot. A gi (uniform) is not required for your first class.

What to bring

A bottle of water. A notebook and pen can also be useful for recording techniques and key points. All training equipment is provided by the dojo.

What to expect

Your first session will introduce you to the basics. Our instructors welcome beginners and will guide you through the fundamentals at your own pace. There's no pressure – everyone started as a beginner.

Founded by the renowned Kaicho Bernard Creton (10th dan), he strives to provide a self-defense system with traditional values. In Kaicho Creton we are fortunate to have a family that leads back to Mas Oyama's teachings themselves and today, Kaicho's continued passion and leadership inspire all those who follow him.

The style emphasizes techniques that have true meaning and easily translate into self defence, with a focus on traditional values, discipline, and personal growth.
